This year marks a special milestone for L’Agence—25 years of dedication to real estate in Cabarete and its surrounding areas. What began as an accidental discovery has grown into one of the most respected and enduring real estate agencies on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic.
The story starts in 1992, when Pierre Dardelet, then a commercial real estate professional in Paris, took a trip that would change the course of his life. During a visit to the Dominican Republic, he stumbled upon the vibrant beach town of Cabarete. Captivated by its natural beauty, laid-back atmosphere, and welcoming community, Pierre knew he would one day return—not as a tourist, but as a resident.
That dream became reality in October 1997, when Pierre moved to Cabarete with his young family, including his wife Ghislaine and their 5-month-old daughter, Helena. Just two years later, in November 1999, L’Agence was officially born with the arrival of their second daughter, Romane. It became the first real estate agency with a physical office and presence in Cabarete, offering a full range of services including sales, private property management, and vacation rentals. From the beginning, Pierre and Ghislaine ran the agency with the core values that still define it today: professionalism, trust, and transparency.
Between 2003 and 2008, Cabarete experienced a real estate boom, fueled in large part by the French Canadian investor Georges Coutu. During this transformative time, L’Agence took on the management of major developments such as Renaissance, Ocean Dream, Ocean One, and Olas de Oro, further solidifying its reputation as a key player in the local market.
Throughout the years, L’Agence has continued to grow both its team and service offerings, remaining a trusted partner for hundreds of homeowners, buyers, investors, and renters. What sets the agency apart is not only its deep roots in the community but also its continued commitment to excellence, adaptability, and long-term vision.
As we look ahead to the future, 2025 is shaping up to be another exciting chapter. L’Agence is proud to be the master broker for Kite Beach Avenue, a brand-new villa development that represents the next wave of Cabarete’s growth. With over two decades of local expertise and a continued passion for the region’s potential, L’Agence is set to remain a cornerstone of real estate on the North Coast.
